Stella Hagelstam – Passion for Dressage

I was born 1984 in Sipoo and my family consists today of my mother Heidi, father Leif, sisters Sandra and Stefanie. I live both in the Centre of Helsinki and at Boe Manor in the City of Porvoo. My mother tongue is swedish and I speak finnish almost as fluently. I get equally well by in english and when required I also speak some german.

I graduated from the Kulosaari High School in 2001. I’m presently a student at the Hanken School of Economics, and plan to reach my Bachelors degree in the spring of 2010 with Entrepeneurship, Management and Organisation as my main focus.

I’m a very glad and open person, always prepared to see the bright side in things. I’m prepared to work hard for my goals, and hope to share my skills and knowledge with my pupils and partners in the future.

I always wanted to learn new things and also become a better rider. Thanks to my parents I have had a chance to get aquainted with the riding community abroad since my early youth. I have been working or training with Hasse Hoffman in Denmark in 2001, with Jan Brink and Minna Telde in Sweden in 2003, with Kyra Kyrklund in England in 2008 and 2009, and with Ulf Möller at Stall Kasselmann in Germany in 2009. During these enriching years I have learnt a lot but one thing above everything else has become clear to me and that is humility. Without a humble attitude and a great wish to learn more it is very difficult to achieve any success in this discipline.
